Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah was arrested early Thursday morning for driving under the influence of alcohol. Read more on Berrabah’s arrest below.
Amelle Berrabah was charged with DUI in the wee hours of Thursday morning, according to police.
Authorities were called to Amelle’s home in Camden after an altercation between the singer and her boyfriend Tom Benn.
Police arrived to question the couple before leaving the residence, only to receive an emergency call moments later reporting Amelle for driving while drunk.
The singer was arrested and later bailed out of jail.,
A spokesperson for Scotland Yard says, “Amelle Berrabah will appear on bail at Highbury (court) on Friday, October 8 charged with driving with excessive alcohol.”

David Beckham, 35, has followed through on his threat to sue In Touch magazine and the hooker who sold her story, Irma Nici.
Beckham’s lawsuit, filed Friday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleges libel, slander and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Irma Nici, 26, the hooker who claimed to have had an affair and threesome with Beckam, is also named as a defendant in the legal documents. Beckham is suing for $25,000,000 in the libel lawsuit.
Sources close to the soccer star said: “This should be seen for what it is – the ravings of a desperate woman.
“She is a malicious fantasist without a single shred of evidence to support her pack of lies.
“The writs stand against her, the magazine and its publishers. The statement is further proof that she has absolutely no evidence.
“If she had, she would have disclosed it by now to one of the many publications she has been trying to hawk her story to. It is not surprising that she’s had no takers.”
But Nici’s team stated: “Irma stands by her previous statements. Any lawsuit against her is a publicity stunt and without merit.
“Any attorney who brings an action against her should be prepared to face sanctions and pay all legal costs because they will lose.
“There is more to the story that Irma hasn’t told yet. We are highly confident that Irma can provide enough detail and other forms of proof to persuade a jury that her tryst with David Beckham did indeed take place.
“Mr Beckham had better be prepared to drop his pants in court if he wants to pursue this matter as he has distinguishing characteristics which will prove without a doubt that Irma is telling the truth.
“Mr Beckham’s baseless lawsuit is understandable. After all, he has to tell Posh something.”

Lindsay Lohan has settled her lawsuit with E*Trade after suing them for their funny ads with the talking baby named “Lindsay” who said she is a “milkaholic”.
Lindsay sued E*Trade for violating her rights.
“The case between Lindsay and E*Trade has been settled,” her lawyer Stephanie Ovadia stated. “There is no further comment.”
The terms of their settlement were kept confidential, but Lohan’s mom Dina said, “The family is pleased that the case has been settled.”
The rep for E*TRADE said: “With the case now withdrawn, we are pleased to have the matter behind us.”
