Her little monster fans certainly waited patiently for the release of Lady Gaga’s latest single, and it sounds like it was worth the wait.
On Friday morning (February 18), Apple’s iTunes announced that “Born This Way” is now officially the fastest-selling single in the history of the iTunes store.
Furthermore, the new tune has hit #1 in all 23 countries with iTunes stores and sold more than 1 million tracks in just five days.
It doesn’t stop there, the single also shot straight to the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart marking the 1,000th song to lead the list in its 52 year history.
The year of 2010 was certainly full of fantastic movies, and today (February 10) “The Social Network” and “The King’s Speech” took the top awards at the 31st London Film Critics’ Circle Awards.
The highest honor, which is Film of the Year, went to “The Social Network” while the British actor in a Supporting Role went to Andrew Garfield.
Meanwhile, “The King’s Speech” star, Colin Firth, landed Best Actor, while Tom Hooper scored British Director of the Year and the film took home The Attenborough Award for British film of the year.
Other awards went to Annette Bening for her role in “The Kids Are All Right,” Christian Bale won Best British Actor for “The Fighter,” and Olivia Williams picked up the British actress honor in a supporting role for “The Ghost Writer.”

Upset over her latest legal woes, Lindsay Lohan has taken to the web to adamantly deny any wrongdoing regarding her charges of felony grand theft.
Currently in the midst of trial stemming from claims that she stole a $2,500 necklace from a local jeweler, the “Georgia Rule” actress tweeted, ” fyi- i would never steal, in case people are wondering. I was not raised to lie, cheat, or steal…”
Addressing the many headlines questioning her short, white dress in which she wore to court on Wednesday, LiLo continued, “also, what i wear to court shouldnt be front page news. it’s just absurd. god bless xox L”
During her lengthy message, Miss Lohan also touched on work matters, as she wrote, “Was on the phone with my sister&this movie Greenberg is on, i heard my voice which was odd- and ryhs ifans is watching Just My Luck in the movie- made me laugh.. i just want to be on set again, and left alone to just work!”
Lindsay is currently due back in court on February 23rd as her jewelry theft case continues forward to determine her fate.
Hitting the web as expected, the official theatrical trailer for “X-Men: First Class” has been released.
Being posted on Facebook, the footage is focused on the complicated relationship between Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender).
Also starring Jennifer Lawrence, January Jones and Rose Byrne, a synopsis of the film via IMDB reads: “Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. Joined by sister Kourtney, the “Disaster Movie” babe looked fabulous in black as she made her way inside the Ed Sullivan Theater to promote her new reality show “Kourtney and Kim Take New York.”
Ms. Kardashian arrived in New York City early this morning to begin her press duties ahead of the show’s premiere this Sunday, January 23rd.
After hopping off the plane, Kim tweeted, “So happy to be back in NYC with @KourtneyKardash.”
Kicking off another work week with a studio visit, Britney Spears was spotted in Studio City, California on Monday afternoon (January 17).
Looking sporty in a colorful sleeveless top with black gym shorts, the pop princess was at first shielded by an umbrella-toting staffer before making a mad dash from a pack of ensuing paparazzi.
Once finished up with her musical efforts, Brit Brit, boyfriend Jason Trawick and Larry Rudolph then headed off to Rite Aid for a few personal needs before continuing along on their way.

As 2010 comes to a close, Heidi Montag says it’s been the hardest year of her life, especially because of her massive plastic surgery run back in November of 2009.

Once again making headlines for the wrong reasons, Lindsay Lohan is under investigation for misdemeanor charges which may end up resulting in another probation violation.
With the situation stemming from a run-in with a Betty Ford Center employee after the “Mean Girls” star turned up 10 minutes past curfew on December 12th, chemical technician Dawn Holland has finally opened up about the alleged assault.
Talking to TMZ, Holland revealed, “Lindsay and two other patients had snuck out, went drinking and tried to sneak back in and they got caught. We were told by our administration on-call to do a breathalyzer test, which she refused to do. She was angry and out of control.”
Claiming to have been pushed by Lohan, Holland adds that the oft troubled actress “kept yelling and cursing and screaming” even as she was on the phone calling police.
The chemical technician went on to tell, “Then she tried to snatch the phone from out of my arm. She grabbed my wrist and twisted my arm and my hand to get the phone. She was the only patient out of the three who was being very uncooperative and out of control. I did not touch the woman! I am not willing to risk my job over any patient.”
With the Palm Desert Police Department still investigating the incident, Miss Holland is currently on paid medical leave while unable to use the injured hand.
Meanwhile, Lindsay will have to go back in front of Jude Elden S. Fox if charges are brought against her – with a conviction likely to lead to a jail sentence of up to six months.
