Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete Crowned Miss Universe 2010

Miss Mexico beat out 83 other contestants to be awarded her Miss Universe 2010 crown!
Jimena Navarrete was the first one questioned during interviews and was asked how she felt about unsupervised Internet use.
“I do believe that Internet is an indispensable, necessary tool for the present time,” Navarretesaid through an interpreter. “We must be sure to teach them the values that we learned as a family.”
The first runner-up was Miss Jamaica Yendi Phillipps and the second runner-up was Miss Australia Jesinta Campbell.
Jimena is Mexico’s second Miss Universe after Lupita Jones won the title in 1991.
Navarrete won her grand title of Miss Universe but also an undisclosed salary, a New York apartment with living expenses paid, a one-year scholarship to the New York Film Academy with housing, and jewelry, clothes, and shoes.
